LOOKING AFTER YOUR NORTHERN DIVER BAG
We know what your bag goes through - we use our own products in the same way that you do. Read this care information to ensure maximum life for your Northern Diver bag.
1 - Wash salt and dirt deposits off.
2 - When string, baggage tags, etc. become wrapped around the wheels, this can cause the them to lock and may cause flat spots to develop.
3 - After dragging a wheeled bag across rough ground and sand, make sure the bag gets thoroughly cleaned afterwards.
4 - Clean the zips. Zip pullers can jam with salt and dirt. Immerse in water or use a silicon spray for maintenance.
5 - Most zips can burst due to over packing. Zips can be easily recovered by zipping back to the beginning and rezipping. The teeth will remesh although it may take a couple of tries. Do not force anything.
6 - Did you know that the majority of bag damage occurs on baggage carousels at airports? If the bag is too heavy for you to easily manage then a baggage handler will have the same problem. Don’t encourage others to abuse your bag! When you have over packed your bag, as we all do, or left items sticking out and it all falls off the carousel as a pile of scrap, do not send it back to the manufacturer. Your first course of action is to contact the baggage handling agent and register a claim. Failing that, contact your holiday insurers. Northern Diver staff use Northern Diver bags and travel all over the world with them. In our experience, most claims for damage at airports are handled swiftly and professionally.
