Repairs/Production Assistant

This is an outstanding opportunity to join an established and growing business that has an exciting and successful future. Northern Diver (International) Ltd have been in business for over 40 years, we have created an innovative and highly regarded product range within the recreational, Commercial, Offshore, Water Rescue and Military diving sectors. We have won a large contract and as such we need to expand our manufacturing facility in Appley Bridge.

We are looking for Production Assistants to join our growing team. We specialise in high quality Diving Equipment and Suits. The ideal candidate will have a good eye for detail, experience and enthusiasm to work in the factory, which is desirable but not essential.

FULL TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN on suit repairs/production and use of specialist tools.

· Competitive basic salary £24k+ per annum

· Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm

· Holidays - 23 days + Bank Holidays

Key responsibilities would include:

  • Maintaining a steady production process in the repair and production of diving suits.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure deliveries are met
  • Quality Control checks
  • Glue various materials together (neoprene, tri-laminate)
  • Maintaining workshop in a tidy and safe condition
  • Carrying out any other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisory Technician
