Varilux Travel Rechargeable Dive Torch Light

A fantastic no fuss little torch which packs a punch! Really cuts through the gloom. Bought it on the recommendation of a dive buddy so definitely owe him a beer. Great service, arrived really quickly & worked out of the box. Really easy to charge & no fuss to operate.

I just bought the Varilux Travel Dive Torch and it looks good. Its made from quality aircraft grade aluminium. East to use with a single on/off button. It has a really good spotlight beam. It looks and feels very robust. I bought it as a back-up to my Varilux 2600 dive torch. I visited the shop in Wigan. the two guys there were great. Very helpful. they had it on display and were very helpful with demonstrating it. All in all, a quality item, for only £68, that will last. It looks great and has a strong 1000 lumens beam which will be great for most environments. Its certainly gonna make a good back-up.

I ordered the varilux travel torch and it is absolutely great , magnetic charging , travel case, exactly as pictured and described. Coupled with the great price and speedy delivery you cant go wrong !

Don't be kidded by its size or name (travel), the Varilux Travel II torch packs a punch and is so much more than a travel torch. I've used the Travel II as my main torch for nearly a year and a half now and it's been well and truly put to the test in the murky waters of the Clyde and sea lochs on the west coast of Scotland. Honestly I can't believe how good this torch is for the price and size! I've dived with others using FAR more expensive and bigger torches and I really mean it when I say this more than holds its own and in a good few cases outstrips them! The fact the batteries are rechargeable and comes with a charger that can be plugged into a USB port is really handy for between dives if you've had it burning constantly. I've been able to get a good 100mins out of mine on full burn and only started to see it dimming towards the end as we did our safety stop. The light itself is superb. It's not a particularly wide angle beam, but when there's a lot of particles in the water this isn't a bad thing. It cuts through the murk really well and the illumination is excellent! There's also a wee green light around the on/off button which at first I thought was a bit of a gimmick... until I might have borrowed my wife's, dropped it on a dive and only realised after I came out. Thankfully because of the light I actually found it on the second dive, so not only did it save me buying a new one, it also saved me a few nights in the spare room as well! For the price and the size I don't think there is a better torch out there on the market!

We bought these compact, bright, tough torches at the Dive Show - they are so much brighter than our previous torches also smaller and more lightweight. The multiple o-ring seal and dimmer button are excellent features. The charger and lead are included, as are spare O-rings and silicon grease. There is even a car adapter! They fit easily into my BC pocket and they should make our wreck diving easier and more fun - we wait to see (hence the 4 stars, rather than 5 - we haven't dived with them yet)
